Boundary Determination Underway
Great River's surveyors have completed the preliminary survey
work necessary for design work to begin.
Our office staff has been focused on determining the boundaries for the
properties that will be affected by sewer main installation. This step is necessary for the preparation of
easements.
Survey Work Continues
Great River’s surveyors are continuing to work in the field
collecting information necessary for the design of the project. We are currently focusing our efforts in the
areas surrounding Summit Ridge Drive and Baker Avenue.
We’ve had several property owners ask what the wooden lathes
with survey flagging represent. If you
see a lathe with pink flagging, it represents a survey pin or property corner

Aerial Survey
Great River’s surveyors have been in the field preparing for
the aerial survey of the project.
You may have noticed large white crosses pinned to the ground in the
surrounding area. These crosses serve as
targets that are visible from the plane and are used in aligning the aerial
photographs collected during the flight.
These targets will only be in place for a short period of time. Our survey staff will remove them as soon as
the aerial survey is complete.

Letter to Property Owners
Great River has recently prepared a letter to

receive this letter in the mail soon. The letter can also be viewed on
the References page of this website.
Project Engineering is Underway.
Great River Engineering has initiated planning and design for the Powersite North Sanitary Sewer Project. The first step in this process will be surveying and the preparation of a Facility Plan for the project. The facility plan will evaluate the needs of the project, propose alternatives, evaluate environmental impacts, and make recommendations for final design and funding of the project. Keep watching this website for updates throughout the project.
